Design

The Mac OS System 7 aesthetic is ported from a sibling project, Chaos Dimension. Title bar stripes, blue dither desktop, Geneva-or-fallback typography, hard 4px black shadows. No rounded corners on chrome. Everything you’d expect from 1991.

Type

Geneva, then Lucida Grande, then Helvetica Neue. System fonts only, in keeping with the era.

Color

The body desktop is #5A7DC8 over a #5070B8 2×2 conic dither. Window chrome is #DDDDDD over white. Highlight is the canonical Mac navy, #000080.

Hosting

Deployed to Vercel from github.com/gabelev/gabe-blog. Pushes to main redeploy automatically.
